A reset is an edit, not an erasure
When capacity changes, the whole day can feel ruined. Reset My Day™ keeps what is still true and releases what no longer fits.
Changing the plan is not abandoning the system. It is using the system.
1. Pause the momentum
Before rearranging tasks, stop. Reduce sensory input if you can. Give yourself enough space to notice what changed instead of reacting to the pressure of the list.
2. Name the new capacity
Ask whether you are now in Protect, Steady, or Full. Consider body, focus, emotions, environment, and the recovery cost of continuing.
3. Protect what is truly necessary
- What must happen today?
- What can become smaller?
- What can move without real harm?
- What support can be requested?
4. Choose the next smallest action
Do not rebuild the entire day at once. Choose one appropriately sized next action—or choose rest as the next action.
5. Close the loop without judgment
Record what changed and what helped. The purpose is not to prove that you should have known better. It is to help Calm System learn what support looks like in your real life.
Begin with the capacity you have today.
The free two-page Capacity Check-In helps you choose a mode, name what matters, and adjust without starting over.
